Did I stumble onto a hidden tab shortcut?

fn + delete (<-) button = tab!
fn + shift + delete = reverse tab (in mircob)

I tried it in xterm, the browser and kinda works around some of the maemo ui but not consistent.

I find this to be so handy when you need tabs and not spaces in leafpad or during vnc session (I think so, have to reset my ssh after playing and try again).

If this is old news this thread can be delete.

cheers

Actually I think it's an app you installed (had it installed but it caused me slight problems), I think it's keyboard-shortcuts.
FN + Backspace does nothing by default.

Hmm, I was looking at that, but didn't install it as it seem like one of those thing that could be problematic. I'll double check, but did you try it in term, and other places?

Yes afaik keyboard-shortcuts enables tab in all apps, I used it in XChat before.
Type dpkg -l | grelp keyboard-shortcuts and see if there's any output

Ctrl+I is tab (that is 'i' and not '1' or 'l') in vim, but it doesn't seem to work in other apps.
Fn-Backspace does nothing for me.
Ctrl-Backspace show all running apps.

But you could change the keyboard definition file if you like to add tab. Should work in theory at least.

Well, thanks for the correction, but I stand by my point, FN + backspace isn't tab, at least not by default.
