i have 2weird problems with the default browser as follows:

when i tap something into the bar at the bottom to try and google something, a lot of the time nothing happens unless i give enter a second hit. equally, click a link from bookmarks places the url into this bar but i often find myself having to click enter as well to get it to connect. this is on solid wifi!


secondly, when i google something from the search bar i end up with google in german rather than english! seemingly by random!!!

To force the language of google search to English:

-type about:config as browser address (and press enter)
-if there's a warning, proceed regardless
-type google in the Filter field
-there should be a field named keyword.URL, set its value (select it by tapping and press enter) as:
-reboot seems to be required to have the change take effect

To force it into another language, just change hl=en into something different, hl=de or whatever you'd like.
