Hi guys. Ill apologise for any mistakes to begin with. Typing this on the phone with a failing screen.

As of thois morning the screen has had constant bursts of distortion / garbled colours - kinda like when you first turn a CRT monitor on. It has basically been unusable because of this. This issue also seems to be running the battery down significantly.

Have taken battery in and out to no avail. Any help here??

My friend had similar problem with the screen of his Nokia 5880.
It first happened when he brought his phone outside his house, which was very cold.
When he got back, he put the phone in a warm place and the problem got fixed.

Was your phone exposed to an extreme temperature change?

Possibly, I do recall falling asleep on top of it.

Problem is still there....even bigger problem being where do I send it off to?

Adelaide Nokia Care? It's an import phone from the US...the n900 hasn't even been released here AFAIK. Back to the forwarder to deal with? Factory reset it first?
