Hello

I am new here and i have encountered a problem trying to update the phones software.

It wont do it through app manager it says to use the nokia pc suite, i have got the correct nokia pc suite but it says device not fully supported yet, so how am i supposed to update my phone?

Also i am trying to install .deb package using the red pill, but i do not have that option? How do i get that option, i have done the matrix thingy but nothing.

getting frustrated now

Thanks

from FW 1.1 we don't have Red Pill mode more.
Reflash the N900 you can by special program:

i think you need to use the nokia updater NOT the pc suite. PC suite doesnt handle updates if i am correct. DOwnload the Nokia Updater from the same web site you got PC suit(or google it, or just go to nokia web site and navigate your way to support/softwear. wording should be something like that)

Thanks

I have managed to do this now from the phone.

I had to uninstall all of my non standard programs to get this to work!!

The nokia updater still doesn't work either

Have you tried disabling extras-testing and extras-devel?

EDIT: I think I misread. Did you update through application manager?
