the lock screen could be bub firing a bubble.
the desktop screens could be some of the various levels.
perhaps close ups so the desktop icons could "sit" on the platforms in the levels.

there will be loads of images all ready available as well as easy screen grabs from emus etc.
the "simple" styling of the artwork would work well if shrunken to n900 size.

ok, so the pics from phone were tiny, so i took some on the PC tonight.

I'll see what I can do this weekend. For something like this I will just do maemo-org theme with custom colors, fonts, and backgrounds/lockscreens. I hope that is ok. I can do some custom icons if I get time

i was a bit bored earlier so had a little fiddle.

these are first attempts just to see if this sorta stuff is do-able for me.

They sure can, btw what colors are you wanting for the button colors, button highlights, and text colors. I'm working on backgrounds today. You have a choice each desktop background can be a different level or I can do a like one really wide level by level by chopping out one of the screenshots and kinda making the whole thing scroll. Your Choice.

i think i like the idea of scrollable backgrounds.

colour wise. believe it or not i prefer darker more suble colours.

now there is a challenge. a dark, suble bubble bobble theme.... lol

most of the theme will be dark I was going to do some bright cools for buttons but I might just do a bright color for the button highlight.
