As it says in that article, it will be possible at some point. Just not right away.

Hi,
I'm after the help of something who has got MeeGo to boot from an SD Card.
Like Fedora/Android/Mer.

I fully understand that this is CLI only and can not do much.

I'm just after some help getting it to dual boot.
I've got Android running from my SD. I want to partition a card I have and install MeeGo to it.

I just need a guide as I'm not sure what file systems or anything that it needs.

Thanks all!

I can help with that I've done it a few times now.
Install guide
Goto page 84 and download the newer Rootfs and if you have any troubles, they have probably been answered already further in the thread. Or ask me. I can help with the installation.

My guess is that you create another partition on the MicroSD, then you download the image, extract it to the new partition(it would probably be partition #3), then you need to create a new file for the bootmenu, it should look something like this I believe:

ITEM_NAME="MeeGo"
ITEM_ID="meego"
ITEM_DEVICE="${EXT_CARD}p3"
ITEM_MODULES="mbcache jbd ext3 fat vfat" //No idea about the modules needed
ITEM_FSTYPE="ext3"
ITEM_FSOPTIONS="noatime" //No idea if this does any impact either

Of course, this is just theoretically, I have no idea if this would actually work

Yes, thats the easiest way.

I'm looking for a guide or some tips in order to use kexec and load the MeeGo kernel.

Damn. Kernel. I thought it was just there incase we did not have one for some reason.
I'm attempting to use DJ_Steve's Android (Dual Booting) kernel to get Fedora 12 to boot.

What do you mean here? Are you going to boot FC12 on N900?

and of what use MeeGo has without a decent UI on it
