hi! just to share this one when i woke up this morning

i left my n900 at 50-75 percent of battery last night and slept reasonably early, bout 9pm.

well what i remember doing before i sleep is chatting and browsing this site through wifi. i fell asleep, but then i woke up, i get my n900 to check the time.

i slide the lock but the screen is still black, i tried pressing the power button, but the screen still shows nothing. i came up to the point that the phone was of. i press and hold the power key and the nokia logo and notificarion lights shown up after that are 5 dots.

but the phone did not reboot or boot. before being scared, i took off the battery and place it back, the same result.

before freaking out, i get my fully chargef spare battery and install in on the n900 and success! the phone turned on!

therefore, my other battery wa just fully drained, maybe i left the wifi running all the night until it runs out. men i cant reaaly make sure of it, i need wifi eye or some app that can put an eye on my internet connections.

This has happened to me once too... Luckily I had a spare fully charged battery. I have no idea what had drained the battery overnight - luckily it's never happened again (I do ALWAYS keep spare battery fully charged though -- just in case!)

everyone should totally drain then fully charge their battery at least once a month to keep the battery healthy, it will hold its charge longer!

different battery types work best under different recharge patterns.

li-ion and li-pol do not like to be fully discharged, iirc.

Also to the OP you can download an app (forgot what it's called) from maemo's repos that shuts off any idle network connection you want... If I can just remember the name of the app...

Some devices need a minimum battery charge to boot up, maybe you just needed to give it a few minutes on the charger before trying to boot it.
