I had read in previous threads here that CompUSA had a 21 day return policy for N800s, as long as the buyer had the receipt and all the materials.

I have asked at two different CompUSAs in the San Francisco Bay Area (downtown SF and Emeryville) and employees at both stores say that the policy with the N800 internet tablet is 14 days plus a 15% restocking fee for opened boxes.

I think this is a fair policy, but I wanted to make sure other people were aware of it.

That kind of sucks, I returned one to CompUSA online and there was no restocking fee and I believe the window is 30 days.

I ended up buying, finding it cheaper at TigerDirect, and canceling the order but it shipped anyway. They had no problem at all giving me an RMA for it.

Wow, that is a horrible return policy. 15% restocking fee? No wonder they are having financial issues. I noticed that Frys has the N800, and they have a 30 day return policy with no restocking fee.
