I've done thins many times before from computer to computer. But i can't get my internet connection from the laptop to the n900 through an adhoc wireless connection. I found posts about this working from XP and Win7 but i can't get it to work in vista.
Any suggestions?

Why not use your wireless router to handle the communications?

i dont have a wireless router and i dont want to get one because i can use my laptop as a router. Everything worked now. after 4 hours of searching and fixing it worked and it's really good and fast connection not like i expected.

Do you mind sharing how you did it?

One method is:
1. Use your ethernet to connect to your Broadband (AT&T / Comcast)
2. Share your internet using your wifi.
So your wifi act as the "router".

Previously in Windows 2000, I was using Sygate
But starts from XP, Microsoft added internet sharing connection option
take a look at your network connection
- right click on your network connection
- go to advance
- you will see internet connection sharing

Once you setup, you should have 192.168.1.1 or something similar.

Its been a while I have done that :P, but the theory should be there
