Hi, is there any way of changing the date format without having to change language or something else?? just the date format independently of anything else.
thanks

I also want to know this. I like an English OS and the number format with decimal point but the date format mm/dd/yy is, let's say it takes some getting used to...

Any solutions for this?

Go to "Settings", and change your Regional Settings into "English (UK)". Your date format will then be dd/mm/yy.

Write a script that runs when booting that sets LC_TIME to something else?

Thx, now the date format is much better! I thought I tested this with all English localizations (UK, Australian,...). Maybe I forgot UK or I was irritated by the slash.

@ Andre: Can you explain your solution more detailed or give us a link? I'm a linux and maemo noob and have no idea how to run scripts when booting...
