Hi.. I dont know much about Linux and i need some help here with Quake 2.
I have Quake II on my PC (windows XP) and I have installed the ported version on my N900. How do I go about copying the PAK files from my PC to the N900. Please give me step by step instructions for the same, including accessing the baseq2 folder on my phone as well as copying syntax. Thank you very much.

1. Connect your N900 to your PC in mass storage mode
2. Locate the Quake 2 datafolder in your PC (sorry, I'm writing this from my N900, so you must find it yourself)
3. Copy the pak0.pak file tou yor N900 (just copy them to the first folder that opens when you click N900 in your My Compurer)
4. Move the pak0.pak file to user/.quake2/baseq2 by typing
Code:
mv /home/user/MyDocs/pak0.pak /home/user/quake2/baseq2/pak0.pak
to X Terminal
5. Disconnect yor N900 from PC and now you should be able to play Quake 2!

Hope this helps!
(sorry for the wrong folder I gave first, it was the folder I copyed my pak0.pak-file temporary before moving it to right place(and thanks to CepiPerez whose post made me understand that))

If you have installed quake2 from extras-devel you sould copy pak0.pak into /home/user/.quake2/baseq2 folder.
If you're running windows copy file to MyDocs folder (root folder). Then open x terminal and type:
mv /home/user/MyDocs/pak0.pak /home/user/quake2/baseq2/pak0.pak

I copied the pak0.pak file to the N900 drive (.i.e., the mass storage) and then typed the command in X Terminal and it didnt work. Please find the screenshots below:

you might need to disconnect the usb to access MyDocs from the phone.

This. MyDocs directory goes away when attached to a USB for file-sharing purposes.
