Ok people the RSS reader only keeps 20 items in it's cache per feed which is a bit silly.

Under the hood it's actually liferea but I can't find the settings to change the number of feeds that are kept in cache so I can increase this from 20 to say 100.

the dot files don't seem to show anything.

I'm also highly interested in this. Slashdot feed maxes out at 15 entries in RSS Reader. This means i'm forced to look at it at least twice a day or else i'll be missing stories.
