hi,

i used this great gps app from marcus bauer on my freerunner,
no i am not nostalgic:-)

i use it on my desktop to download quick big areas of map
sources. then i copy them in a single mountable image which i
transfer to my mobile device for offline usage. thats it.

can someone give it a try?

for screenshots, details and newest source code, see

Hi!

I always hated TangoGPS, though it was the best mapping application for the freerunner.

If you want to download maps for offline viewing on your desktop, then you can use Maep to view them on the N900. The directory structure is the same. I this structure too for my geocaching application, which also shared the maps with TangoGPS on the freerunner.
