if you read the thread im NOT the only one that this has happened to and I did flash both image files

I wonder how many of these "oh nos I hate my n900 and nokia"-threads are caused by overclocking/extras testing etc. apps?

try a full clean flash, it worked great for me
use the new eMMC and global
took about 6 hours last night to get all my mods reapplied but its sweet now, i aint even bothered oc'ing it either
(and i would avoid copying your other mce file, just to be safe this time)

Well indirectly this is Nokia's fault. If they had a decent app store with proper QC then issues like this could be prevented. Insted it's a Russian Roulette everytime you go to install anything. I would swap my N900 for an iPhone in the blink of an eye for this reason. Other reasons include the total lack of decent office software (without hacking the hell out of your device). Piss poor email that won't sync with most exchange servers. No spell check, no email search, no voice guided sat nav, pants battery life, screen full of dead pixels after 6 months, oh yer and about 4 useful apps all burried under a ton of geek *****.

This better improve as i'm stuck with this brick for another 12 months!
