thanks to mohammad who guided me on this one.
/usr/share/applications/hildon; edit any .desktop file e.g camera-ui.desktop and append following line to desktop entry.
it gives a beautiful transition effect when camera app is launched. this can be applied to any menu app.Code:[Desktop Entry] X-App-Loading-Image=none
