Ok this is probably a silly question but figured I'd ask anyway.

For anyone intimately familiar with the n900's system board, is there any possibility of adding an additional 256MB chip? I'm an expert with a soldering iron and could tap very tiny pins.

I'm dreaming here, I know.

I remember something like this being done with the old Dell Axim X51Rs... 512MBs of RAM IS a nice dream though.

RAM is inside OMAP3 chip.

The 256MB on the N900 is embedded in the Cortex A8 SoC using package on package http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Package_on_package, and I highly doubt there'd be anywhere on the N900 mainboard to solder any more memory.

Shame really, it would be awesome, but sadly I don't think it's possible.
