Dear Fellows i have recently purchased Nokia N900 but i am unbale to dial any number starting with (*) can anybody help me out with this issue...

Do a backup
Update App Manager
If you see no notification, check the NSU in pc suite

Dear Fellows, updates phone software Maemo 5 version :3.2010.02-8.203.1 but no use still cant dial numbers starting with (*)

did it take you like at least 50mb to update into the new version (in app manager)?

if it's right, it should solve ur problems bcz those who's using pr1.2 will be all available to dial with (*)

You need to update again till you get version 10.2010.19-1.002. Sorry it took Nokia only 6 months to fix this problem.

Dear fellows, yesterday i updated maemo version and the problem is resolved. The size of the program was 113.6 MB but I have faced two problems since the update:

1) In settings, date and time, time zone GMT mentioned for Pakistan is +6 whereas in actual its +5 (Islamabad, Karachi - Pakistan) therefore i am receiving all messages with time stamps one hour later then the current time.

2) Two times it happened that cursor do not appear in the message writing window and i have to close the application and tap again to start writing text message.

Dear Shumaell

For GMT change your location or country to tajakistan as it is +5 GMT.. technically this is happening due to tht daylight saving stuff which pakistan is not observing this year.. hopefully it will be resolved by october..
