Didn't WP7 lose 0.4% in the US last quarter? I wouldn't call the first iPhone a failure - 6.1 million in 5 quarters. The original 1.5 Android phones didn't really get traction until the 2.x days - Eclair I would say.

I get what you're saying; but until we start hearing that the Nokia WP7 phones are selling in Samsung SGS3 levels - 28 million since pre-sales, I'd have to say that their sales are on the lower end of the spectrum.

Pain Unites Nokia and Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Shareholders

edited extract:

For a company to survive, its products have to sell. For small cap investors, this is an advantage over Wall Street. Legendary investor Peter Lynch pointed out how consumers could see what was selling at the mall and then base investment decisions on that field research.

The same is now true with Nokia products. The recent launch of the Lumia 900 was a debacle; and the share price has plunged. Apple has soared after the iPhone4S hit the market. It will likely do so with the iPhone5 debuts later this fall. When Starbucks introduced its own single cup coffee machine, the Verismo, the share price of Green Mountain Coffee Roaster fell like a cup of java off the side of a table.

Ford Motors came back. Some are expecting that for Green Mountain Coffee Roasters. It is difficult to imagine that for Nokia Corporation.

Well, it's been a long time, but I have to say that I think Nokia stock is a total bargain right now. I don't think it's hit bottom yet, but it is close, and the opportunity to make some cash is there.

Nokia shares up at the end of trading day on friday

Shares of Nokia (NYSE: NOK), the onetime king of mobile phones, rose more than 7 percent Friday on speculation Samsung Electronics (Seoul: 5930), the current leader, might be eyeing a takeover.

I'm almost wanting this take over to be true... Just Imagine, Samsung specs, Nokia hardware, Tizen phones and Flop out of the door....

Just to clarify, I did say "almost".

There's no need. It would be like Sony buying Ericsson.
