Yesterday evening I noticed "Qik Video Camera Pro for N900" in the Ovi store for £1.50 and in the description it claimed something like 800x480 video recording. The icon for the application was "Qik Premium". So I downloaded it, only to find that it was in fact just the Lite version with a price tag on it, which naturally ticked me off a bit.
In response, I posted a review on Ovi store pointing out the apparent con-trick going on and also reported the application to Ovi as fraud. The upshot is that the application has been pulled from the store overnight, and perhaps, just perhaps, Ovi & Nokia may have actually listened.
