So guys great news from Google. They updated mobile version of Youtube which now plays ALL videos through standard media player. Quality is not great but website is very fast and media player plays without any issues , one thing though ( I seems you need to install extra codec pack ) but afaik most people have it so enjoy

Thanks for the update and it's about time. It would be nice if the player automatically pics the best quality at start up.

Well video is in 3gp format mostly that's why it looks bad however in that blog they mentioned couple of times that soon all vidoes will be in Web M format which looks promising

There are two video quality options - HQ & Normal. HQ one looks fine on N900.

The N810, does it have this codec pack available?

Youtube Mobile doesn't even look remotely close to the one on the video for me.

"all of youtube to another format"? Wut? Normal computers can convert videos to webM easily. just the upload time that will be slow.

Anyway, 600gb is too much.. i dont believe you. unless it is a RAW movie film. (you know, the rolling film they use in movies)

The new leanback feature works surprisingly quite well on the default browser too.
