If you happen to be in the Annapolis, Maryland area tomorrow, I and some friends will be at the Starbucks at the Harbor Center shopping mall with my n800 and other mobiles. I am going to bring my laptop and finally upgrade my tablets OS while I am there. Come one, come all.

Cheers,
~DP

This is a great idea!

Now that I think about it, I'd love to be part of a linux device user group in my region... hmm...

EDIT: I just registered the domain ldug.org. Who's with me???

Any users in the Seattle area want to meet and compare notes?

Actually, it's not a bad idea to have a sort of sub-forum based on regional user-groups, much like the oesf.org regional forums.

Really. I'd love to be able to (maybe not so much plan, but) get together with other Nokia IT users in my area.

Maybe we could form a sub-forum of various regions throughout our community.

R.

There doesn't appear to be a Nokia N800 group yet in Meetup.com though there in an NGuage group. The system works well for this type of planning and notification. www.meetup.com

Man, Serial, I was hoping to be in Houston in June to catch a friend of mine in concert but I'm not sure if I can make it. But if I can I'll try to hook up.

And I'm seriously exploring creating a Linux Device User Group. I was amazed no such thing existed! The irony is that my host is Windows server based, so for street cred I'll have to resolve that eventually...lol. It'll be a few days before my new domain is available, and then I'll ask for input from this community. Of course tying into existing infrastructure makes sense.

EDIT: ldug.org is up, but there's an asp error. O, the embarrassment.

EDIT 2: so as not to co-opt tableteer's thread further I created a new one specific to LDUG in the General section. Sorry t!
