I am trying to copy optmize shell script to /usr/home/MyDocs/Myscripts.

I have connected my n900 to computer in mass storage. I see Noka N900 I drive in vista file system. I created folder "sukumar" in this I drive copied optmize.sh. How do I copy this to MyDocs/Myscripts?

What is the bridge between what I see in usb file system vs unix file system?

I see .images, .videos, .documents. DCIM etc. I appreciate any link to understand about the file system.

What you see as your "N900" drive in Windows translates on the Maemo filesystem as:

/home/user/MyDocs

So just open your "N900" mounted drive in the Windows My Computer and create your new directory named "Myscripts".

I have just checked. My /home/user directory has these folders

Instinctive, MyDocs, Xorg.0.log

I changed to MyDocs directory and I found only DCIM sub-directory which is empty.

I see following folders from mounted on N900 I drive on windows
.apt-archive-chace
.documents
.images
.map_tile_cache
.sounds
.videos
cities
DCIM
Instictiv
Mac OS
sukumar(I created on file system)
tmp
._.
n900.ico
.qf
.VolumeIcons.icns
autorun.inf
Myscripts(I created)

Not sure why Myscripts is not visible in xterm under /home/user/MyDocs directory.

Try 'ls -a'

I already tried ls -a thinking that it will show all dot files. My ls -a in MyDocs returns just DCIM.

What does mount show ?

Do You still have the USB cable attached (mass storage mode)?

Yes. I have connected through usb cable still now. It is charging as well as choose mass storage mode.

I see two drives on my vista.
Nokia N900 I: has all .files and Myscritps directory
Removable disk j: (It says insert disk if I click on it)

I will try rebooting.

You can't access "MyDocs" when it's mounted by Windows (mass storage mode)...

Either it's in use by the N900 or by Windows, not both.
