Could somebody please help me re-install MicroB browser.

Last night i removed Greasemonkey using app manager because i no longer used it, but it's caused me problems.
Scrolling is no longer smooth or always kinetic.

Cheers.

Hmm.. i think it was named browser. Try in xterminal:

1. sudo gainroot
2. apt-get install --reinstall browser

You'll need rootsh installed.

It's not called that, neither is it called "microb" or "browserd" (it's task name i think)

I used this method here

and now web/microb won't start at all.

Could somebody zip up their "/home/user/.mozilla/microb" folder so i could fix this please.

That folder just contain personalized info and stuff. Nothing that should make microB not starting.

Have you tried reboot?

taking a backup, re-flashing and re-store should get your settings straight.

I know this, but this is the long and rather annoying way to fix.

I managed to re-install microb using

sudo gainroot
apt-get install --reinstall microb-engine

(thanks linuxeventually)

But it still didn't fix my problem of it not loading.

So i created a folder called "microb" in "/home/user/.mozilla/" which i deleted earlier.

Now Microb loads again and works, but it's still not scrolling correctly.
9.5/10 times it is just stopping as soon as my finger leaves the screen. This is only happening in the browser though, kinetic scrolling is still working everywhere else.

It's kinda annoying me now.

I broke the browser by removing the browserd-daemon.

To repair I removed microb-engine, which gave me a list of dependancies that were also removed. they included osso-browser.

To reinstall I installed microb-engine & osso-browser in that order. Worked great for me.

I am a total newbie, and only learn after I break it!

Same problem, replacing microb-engine and browserd didn't seem to help (and also messed with IM and email a lot!).

But I uninstalled a few extras devel apps - tracker config and then bt HID script. The latter process triggered a reboot and now scrolling is back to normal.

A bonus was the encouragement to try Opera, which I think I like. Perhaps just another day or two with unstable apps and hacks then I'll start afresh and try a stable build.
