I like the first comment: "looks kinda ugly"... Made me laugh...

On a serious note, I don't see the purpose of running Ubuntu on an iPhone (other that the "cool-factor"). iOS works, it's smooth, easy to use and has lots of "apps" (think iFart)... And the iPhone doesn't have a QWERTY.

I guess if You've got an extra iPhone You could use it as a low-power server...

It supports native bluetooth keyboard support though, some users have tried this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S5i4x...eature=related

They should call this OS iBuntu, lol

This project has come as a tangent to Devs trying to install Android (successfully) on the iphone.

working on a Fedora port to bring some Yum-my goodness to the iPhone and finally preliminary stages of porting Meego have started.

Meego on the iphone sounds like a pretty clever idea, if it shapes up to be a good os that is.
