WeTab uses MeeGo!
http://www.heise.de/newsticker/meldu...o-1071855.html

They switched from Ubuntu to MeeGo. But you won't see much of
the MeeGo user interface. They are using their own user interface,
which doesn't use Qt MeeGo Touch framework

The interesting part is, WeTab will support adroid apps.

Impossible. They must have a MeeGo and Android version.

Android apps only work inside Dalvik VM which runs on top of a custom Linux kernel.

Not that difficult, as android is mostly a javavm with the name of dalvik.

Hell, the android SDK is basically dalvik running on a desktop computer when it comes to testing interface behavior.

Will be interesting to see what happens the day they decide to crossbreed a dog and a cat too!

"Its looks will leave you breathless?" Is this a melodramatic late 1970's ad for a video game? :P "The WeTab lays the world at your hands." That's just cringe-worthy. heheh Man, it just goes on and on like that.

Their goofy copy aside, it sounds like it could be a great little device if it delivers on those features and does it well. If it's a glitchy implementation, it'll be an epic-fail. I love that it has what looks like perfectly standard ports.

Wow! This is really cool!

Android running in MeeGo? MeeGo running in Android? Ubuntu running in either? Alas, they're all linux at heart!

It would be awesome for a project that more intimately links these OSs, as they are seem similar enough at the core.

I'm gonna stay skeptical on this until I see one. Omitting a totally open framework for something custom (possibly proprietary) makes me wary.
