I downloaded Pidgin internet messenger on my N900 a long time ago and have been using it on a daily basis and loving it. However, after the last update the "tabs" for my contacts became huge. It feels up the whole screen and the convo field only fits like 1-2 lines of text. I know I could make the messenger itself full screen but I don't want to do that. Any ideas? Any alternatives perhaps?

Also, how do I know that the messenger is still running and I am online? The buddy list window isnt there anymore?
