Getting a connection error to my.svgalib.org - hopefully a temp issue.

Update - fixed now (0029 UTC+1 7 oct)

to fix your media player play button, try removing and re-adding the widget.
that worked for me.

//EDIT:
Is there any way how I can check if the modified-hildon-desktop is installed properly or if It may got overwritten by using "apt-get upgrade"

Loving this thread! lots of info, I have been using Matan's hildon-desktop for a long time now but there is other improvements coming to light now that I also want to try but am disappointed that I am having to go back to 4 homescreens. I am now trying this

and am enjoying it. I also would love to try others but it is a shame that there is not just 1 complete "mother of all hildon-desktops" with all current working mods included such as the two I have discussed along with the faster scrolling, keyboard shortcuts etc, and by looking through a lot of threads all around the moded desktops I can see this is something that a lot of people are asking for.

Is there anyone working on such a thing at all??

it works once, crashes desktop, then goes back to not working again, i tested it extensively, modified-hildon-desktop definitely causes it
so i cant use it

My media player button works always with mhd
There's some 3rd party widget that causes this

looks like there are even more modded versions of hildon-desktop nowadays.

what's the newest stable version I should install on my N900 to get out the best of it.
could someone link me?

Could one of you could tell me which is the newest mod/version of the hildon-desktop. the one with latest fixes and stuff. and is it from MohammadAG or Matan?

Dunno if it's latest of all but I'm using Matan's version 3.3 which works in PR1.3, from his site here: http://my.arava.co.il/~matan/repo/Mo...n_Desktop.html
