Is there an app that allows backuop and restore of Desktops? So that i can configure all my widgets and shortcuts and save it.. Then swap them around for a new information and save it too.. later be able to change between them.. ?

Kinda like the swith cfeature in the E-series S60..

Advantages.. When i get back home, i can hit a switch and hte widgets change to ones that are more media focus etc.. compared to the email and web focus at work.. I know i have 4 desktops and can have each for each..

another one is when i configure my desktop and wallpapers to look nice.. and when i swap wallpapers, i have a new widget arrangement.. If i wanna go back to the old one, i have to reorganize all my widget again..

I hopw develops understand wha ti am going at and can make an app for this.. Thanks

It works with me but with a little trick.

Never use a backup activity as your current activity.

For instance if my current activity is bkup1 and i want to backup my current desktops i must create a new activity and save it as bkup2.
After this the current activity will be bkup2 and bkup1 the backup activity.

If for any reason the desktop crash and i want to recover it then i just need to switch to activity bkup1 as the bkup2 (current activity) will be messed up with the crash.
To keep the bkup1 safe it will be necessary to delete the messed bkup2 and create it again.

I use only one activity, named it "save".
If hildon desktop crashes I open xterm and enter
activity load -f save

That's all.
