Hello everyone.

So far i'm happy with N900 and it's features and recently i discovered i can play games in places like Miniclip and Newgrounds...

But the problem is my keyboard doesn't have full arrow keys. Well tehnically it does have arrows but it's plain stupid to travel back and forth with the blue key.

Is there possible to change

( ä ) key to Up
( . ) key to Left
and left arrow to Down.
( . ) key is quitete nessesery too so i guess it could be replacing ( € ).

This is how keyboard looks like http://www.cs.hut.fi/~kirma/n900-nordic.jpg

There's already been a few threads on the subject and at least one wiki page.

http://wiki.maemo.org/Remapping_keyboard

If that's not enough, search for some threads on the subject. If you don't know the code for a specific xkb key, I'm sure there's a few places you can find it, but I had the most luck with this:

http://cgit.freedesktop.org/xkeyboar...ree/symbols/us (Scroll around, pick out the ones you need/want. Yes you'll probably have to look up the names of characters you want if you don't already know them. Deal.) Actually, you don't have to use the "us" keyboard reference sheet. If you go one directory above that in that link, to "symbols", you'll have a bunch of different ones you can poke around in.

Thank you very much.

Edit: I bricked my phone... eh i guess it's not as simple as it seems to *** arrow keys.

I'm not sure what process you used to change the layout, but there are a couple of very important sentences in the wiki page:
You should however make a copy first in case something goes wrong, but do not place the copy in the nokia_vndr folder or it will stop your phone from booting.

After modifying the rx-51 file, type `setxkbmap' to apply any changes for English keyboards, `setxkbmap de' for German keyboards, etc. If you see an error you should replace the rx-51 file with your backup - if you don't the device will fail to boot and you'll have to reflash it!
Did you brick the phone after a restart? If so, there could be a syntax problem in the rx-51 file.
