hey wasap peps. my service provider is rogers and i have internet for normal phone like non symbian maemo or anything. no smartphones. ex nokia 5310.is their a way or application that will make my service provider think that its not a smart phone and let me get it because if i use the internet it will tell me only for non smartphones. thanks guys!!!

Itīs the web-page developers mistake. Contact them. Meawhile you can try this:

Find out the address of the gateway smartphones on rogers connect to, and replace the current address of your cellular Internet Connection with that address.

Or, to try a completely different strategy, there should be a way to scrub your browser's default headers of some information, or make it send a specific rogers-required header that may or may not exist, I have no idea.

The first strategy is how we get smartphone data on a dumbphone plan with TMobile USA.

I think privoxy could be used to accomplish this task - I found an OS2008 version on the forums, it might also work on Maemo 5.

This way all proxy-aware apps would be able to acces the internet on your phone - not only MicroB.

But beware: privoxy is an advanced network service and needs to be configured by editing multiple configuration files. If you are not familiar with editing config files try a different method or switch your dataplan :P
