Hey everyone! Sorry for my bad English, 'cause I'm from Russia.
I need iPhone icons for Menu. So, if I will have it, how I can I install?
I can use the program "Theme Customizer", and in what folder should I copy my icons pack to apply them in the program?

If you search Google Images for iPhone icons you can then replace them using SSH and WinSCP or through terminal, check the Maemo Mods thread for various palces to place various different icons.

Most go into /usr/share/icons/hicolor/<subfolder> dependant on the size of them.

Hope this points you in the right direction at least

I don't get the point of iPhone icons unless you're trying to make people be like "ooo, it's iPhone-like". But to each their own.

Anyway, people should stop telling everyone to replace the system-wide icons without explaining what you're telling them to do - or telling them that they have multiple choices in how to do it.

You can instead put them into /home/user/.local/share/icons/hicolor/<subfolder>

These will always get used by Maemo instead of the ones in /usr/share/icon/hicolor/<subfolder>, AND they will take precedence over whatever custom icons themes bring in.

Well to be fair the iphone icons are quite nice looking and if you are going for eye candy are a good choice. I a few for mine as well as using many other glossy icons I have found on the web.

If you look on the show your screen shots or the mod threads you will find some going for the simple look and others going for the bright, colorful look. Some iphone icons can help with the colorful look. No right and wrong look, just a matter of preference and taste.

Fair enough. And I certainly agree, some people do just like the icons. I tend to make speculations upon the poster's personality and motivations with something based on simplicity of request, apparent lack of research, and in cases of requests, whether they use words implying need vs. words implying want.

The combination of such factors (yes I contemplated his stated language barrier from Russian as part of this) made me think that it was slightly more likely that part of the motivation was what I said above. Though note: "Slightly more likely" in my opinion - I don't like to commit to such speculation, because I realize there's a distinctly present possibility I could be wrong. I was just lazy when typing that above, so I didn't bother including all the herein stated explanation.

sorry for commenting on this old post, buy i was browsing the design section on maemo.org and bumped into this, the first thing that came to my mind is: "WHATMTHE HELL, YOU GOT N900 AND YOU WNAT TO MAKE IT LIKE iPhoen !!!"

You guess.... I... just don't understand ?

understand what mate? I mean why should any phone look like iPhone ... if you you/anyone want that then get an iPhone, don' you think ?
