Hello everyone ......

i wonder if someone an help me with this please

i opened conky to find that my processor usage goes

( 26% to 34 % ) and speed ( 250 to 600 ) ....

and the processes are :

hildon-desktop
Xorg
ohmd
conky

and no GPRS or wireless lan connected

i did some searches to find that the processor idle usage ( 2 -3 ) %

so mine looks not normal .....and it is realy killing the battery time]

Can anybody please tell me the reasons ? or where to look ?

Do you have the flashlight addon app? That one that let you choose between flashlight and camera??
When i had this, there was constat cpu usage for me.

Do you also have queen beacon widget? The latest one from extras devel eats CPU

if u have flashlight-extra .... delete it
also delete some remains manually . these are the files ."flashlight-extra" from /etc/event.d and /etc/init.d.

this solved my problem

but don't forget that you will never have 2-3% in conky.
7-10 are normal

well i found that i do have the flashlight ...and the flash light extra

but when i tried to uninstall them ....... i got ( unable to uninstall ... some application packages are needed by other applications

did you try on xterm?
dpkg --purge <name of application>

Thank you all............

it works like a charm.......... now the cpu usage is 5% most of time ....... average from 4 % to 8 % ...........and yes the reason was the flashlight extra and flashlight ...........

forgive me to ask another question...... now the n900 is charging and the cpu frequency is 500 MHz doesnt go less than that .......... is this normal ????
