You can repartition the N900 without reflashing it, and quite easily, just get the MeeGo rescue initrd image, and get the gparted live CD iso, boot it, then repartition the whole eMMC and reboot the device.
That way, you don't have to reflash.

Sure but a noob like me finds the repartitioning steps hard I'd rather reflash the whole thingy

i will be providing a 16GB apps 11GB MyDocs soon for memory thirsty folks gotta do some modding

GParted is a GUI, you'll find it easier I'm sure.
And no modding is required, just edit the vanilla eMMC image with sed or hex.

I agree with ammyt! Flashing with a custom emmc is easy than repartitioning with an application! It is more noob-friendly!
