it has everything the N900 wanted to be

i'm in USA, and tmobile reception isn't cutting it. i want the n9 just for the att 3g freq

slimmer, more metal, bigger screen, better camera, processor, running meego so closer to opensuse (my fav distro!), has all the things the n900 has plus more stuff (or will do qt kicks off).

plus my n900 is showing its age now.

For me, the answer is easy: My N810's touchscreen has gone haywire and I don't have an N900 yet - so what better than to get the new generation?

I want a N900, but without the resistive screen - N9. Hopefully the N9's hardware won't be outdated by the time it's released.

I don't understand why people are so pro N9 and MeeGo, i can tell you vanilla MeeGo is nothing for me, i want my cute little debian box in my pocket. harmattan-meego maybe, vanilla? NO! If i want N9? Well it depends, i love my N900 the only thing i miss is a slighty bigger screen, more cpu and ram is just a bonus dont really take alot of power to use a terminal.

Plain and simple, i dont want nor need an n9.

Im going to sit and watch as the new n9 owners find the n900 is now running everything the n9 can nice and natively.


Maemo community is beaut btw.

I think people here want an N9 as a replacement for the N900.
By that I mean it should have beefier processor and gpu.
And on the software side, it should have the "same" potential of Maemo5 but tailored to be a mobileOS like Android, a la hybrid.
That's just my stretched opinion!

i want one because of the slimmer design, and multitouch for better games to be created... as the n900 is almost a perfect phone right now with the ability to do almost anything
