hi,
first of i have done a search but not much information for my question,
the question is as the title really, i love the default player (have used others with e.q an the patched e.q but as i use the stock kernel (others have played up for me) the other players sort of stutter during play back.

so what in-earphones do you use with the n900, erm if it helps i used to own some bose in-ears which were amazin on my 5800 but not so much with n900 but my cockateil decided that the cable looked tasty an my music ranges from hard bassy techno like angerfist" - "technoboy" right the way through to bands like "the xx" "yes" an alike so quite varied

EDIT: i have now added a poll after some awesome suggestions an personal research i have narrowed it down to two pairs but now the choice is harder as there's only two lol
also interested in a way of protecting them from ear wax as i mainly listen as i go to sleep and usually drift off not removing them, which i have been told is the most common time for ear wax to shed an block the ports etc,

a big thank you to you all

I use a sennheiser. I forgot the model name, i think CX 300. I'm very happy with it.

After having used the Denon AH-C751 (bassy like little subwoofers, but aggressive mids and highs) for quite some time, I've changed to Teufel Aureol Groove (cleaner bass and realistic mids and highs) recently. It's a wonderful pair of in-ears, which makes the best out of the N900 sound I mainly listen to Psybient and Gothic Metal and it fits them both.

Especially when you go +50 euros something that i love might not be good for you.
I recommend searching http://www.head-fi.org/forum/list/103 you will find thread for every headphone ever and get a feel what the headphone is all about, and some more.

Personally i'm a big fan of Denon's. My current favorit is AH-C710.

I use AKG K324P. Those are great if I want to enjoy some quiet moments because they have a closed system:

But on the go I prefer earplugs without cord, the MW-600 from Sony Ericsson:

I'm using Head Direct RE0.

http://www.head-fi.org/products/head...phones/reviews

They cost 80$, and they have, IMHO, the best sound you could get for their price range, and are a good match for the N900. Their sound is very natural and very transparent, and don't add anything to the sound or take away from it.

Not for bass-heads, but great for people who care about clarity and detail.
