History Lesson: There once was a very successful product on the market that owned a majority share. Their name was Palm, and ruled the PDA world. They sat on their product range - a monochrome screen whilst the world moved to Colour and technology improved. They fell further behind and figured that their now 16 colour screen does not compare against other competitors and the emerging Smartphones.

Some bright spark at Palm came up to start selling Windows Mobile 5 devices, considered its arch enemy at the time. Sold its soul and yet achieved nothing with sales continue to fall regardless of new Windows Devices. They fell further behind as its drowned by new market requirements of mobility and connectivity.

Historical moment? No.. Its a repeat of a disaster.. People do not learn - or at least too proud to learn.

Don't forget the endless reorganisations, mergers and acquisitions.

It speaks for itself, that people waited for Nokia to announce their strategy, but just a couple of hours before the awaited statement, Microsoft broke the News... Thats really some partnership...
