Hi, I want to port this application: http://code.google.com/p/iptux/downl...ar.gz&can=2&q=

Basically, an IP messenger client. I got scratchbox installed using Maemo 5 sdk. What should I do now?

There is a debian package available in the debian repositories. Downloading it's source is a good start and then just:

Why would you say that? If you Google'd anything at all you would have found your answer, stop trying to get people to hold your hand. Look for "how to package a maemo application" for deploying, and look at Qt for actually writing one. If you can't figure that much out then your finished product probably won't be all that useful

can a normal computer user port apps for maemo?? (or an advance or devloper only can do) i would like to do this...

Some application can be converted directly if they are using QT. on the other hand, the UI will have problem.

So you will need to know coding in order to modify this.

Example:
Try to download keepassx

and you will know what I mean.

The application works, but the UI is definitely not for maemo.

The Application that you try to port is using GTK (not QT). so its supported in Maemo but you will need to modify it for sure to be hildon compliant.

And if its using library not supported in maemo -> you will definitely got headache.

You are asking for someone to "help" you translate the equivalent of "Twelfth Night"* into Swahili. Without knowing Ye Olde English or Swahili.

First, learn Swahili. And Ye Olde English. Then ask for help.
