I'm using EFF-1.4.2 to scan the strength of radio frequences.

I've adapted it for my uses, for experiments.

The original program asks for a headset as antenna.

I've eliminated this condition.
But now the file "fm_rssi" gives only the value of "-122" which equals: not defined.

Is there any possibility to use the frequence scanner without external antenna?
Which parameters have I to change?
("dac_output", "audio_route" or the dbus request?

You can use the built-in functionality that the transmitter chip si4713 supports to scan for empty freqs using only the transmitter, which is what i tried to do with T-CONTROL. But unfortunately, as i understood, the power kernel does not support that functionality, so it fails and i always get value -1.

If you remove the antenna "fm_rssi" will always give the value of "-122", you cant use E.F.F. without an antenna.

Thank you for your reply and profound explications.

But I've tried also with the old kernel.
Why doesn't it work with the old kernel?
