I solved that my FMTX problem:
I enabled FMTX, disabled FMTX, enabled and again disabled. After that reboot and no other FMTX problem...

Now I cannot reproduce it. I'm using modified fmtxd.

I'm not using batterypatch at all.

I was just wondering how interesting it could be with kernel power v49, considering I'd try to tweak it to run 500 900 when the unit is on.

i can change it to 500-800 but is it better than 250-800 ?
still i can't decide which one is better or why so
but i'm sure that :
conservative(batterypatch default governor) with 500-800 is horrible
if u installed BP and wanted to change to 500 instead of 250 then don't forget to change to ondemad too

and please post @SP/BP dedicated thread for any further discussions

Hell no!
This will make your device always stay between 1 and 1.1GHz, even when you not use it.
Please make shure that you have kernel-power-settings installed, then go to terminal and type

Code:
kernel-config load dsp
When it is running stable than you can later type

Code:
kernel-config default dsp
to make it standard on every boot.
If you like you can play arround a little bit with the max. frequency settings, every device is different.

If i want to change my kernel power, from "Linux kernel for power user" into "Linux kernel for power user (boot image for multiboot)" what should i do?

i have to uninstall my previous kernel and then install my new kernel or i can overwrite it?

Those two packages are complementary, not exclusive, AFAIK.

No one package will flash kernel-power to NAND and second will install bootimage for multiboot (and v50 also for u-boot).

But you can of course install both.

Sorry, as this question probably is not very adding to the discussion, but as all Ubuntu builds seem to only run on 2.6.35 on N900, what is KP based on? Would it be possible to compile 2.6.35 with the patches for KP? I am asking as 12.04 seems to be running quite successfully on N900 (but only on 2.6.35) and as it uses latest libc6/libglib/... I was wondering if maybe 2.6.35+KP patches would allow us to update(overwrite/butcher) those libs without getting 'FATAL: kernel too old' error?

KP based on 2.6.28 and this will not change until Nokia reveals the sources for all the closed-source programs like the telephone applications and the hardware drivers for example.
I doubt they ever will so the only option to run other kernels is a dual boot, but than missing basic functions of the hardware.
Another question: why it has to be Ubuntu? I am using easydebian since n810-times and now on the n900- at the same time with maemo OS.
If you are looking for desktop-programs you find on ubuntu too use easy-debian. But now it's getting completely off-topic
