This error popped up Sunday afternoon "All telephony functions, including emergency calls, are disabled due to a communications error. to recover, you might have a reboot the device."

I found several posts with advice for example http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=60947 .

I tried bending the GSM radio to antenna pins and flashing both the firmware and eMMC. Flashing produced a "CMT flashing failed" error. My guess is that the GSM radio failed.

If anyone has suggestions on how to fix it they would be appreciated.

But in the mean time I moved on to an Atrix and love it. I hate typing on it and I really miss having Linux on my phone but the speed of the Atrix is amazing.

Welcome to the Atrix ownership club. Can I say that root is obtainable. And Gingerblur isn't half bad.
