As per title applications using phonon/gstreamer have choppy playback since the release of this package. This is pulled in via ogg-support if I remember correctly. I couldn't find a bug tracker for this package and it might be good to have here anyway.
To get phonon working again

Code:
apt-get remove gstreamer0.10-av
and maybe

Code:
apt-get install gstreamer0.10-vorbis # and maybe more

Hrmm haven't noticed it - how would I replicate what you are seeing?

Ahh yes. So it does. You can get back to normal by reinstalling decoders-support.

gstreamer0.10-av_0.5-2 resolves the problem. One should be able to safely upgrade ogg-support.

BTW, great work on this. Ogg cpu usage seems to be reduced significantly.

It indeed fixed the problems with groove and others but there remain issues with Moobox (I have kids so it is important ) sounds get truncated (eg cow) and others do not play (dog). Avoiding pulling in gstreamer0.10-av is the only way to solve this at present.

You're not testing it with power kernel v47, right? I have choppy playback since then. I have that package installed, so in that case it seems not to be the solution. I'm reinstalling ogg-support, beacuse I think I installed this before power kernel v47. Just to check wether it does something or not.

apt-get remove fixed my choppy sound in groove and someplayer. Im using kernel-power v47. How about that "maybe" part ? Should i try to reinstall it or what ?

I have CSSU in the latest version (14.1, I think) and pali's power-kernel v47 installed.

Removing and then installing ogg-support 1.7rc (extras-devel) worked for me.
