As per title applications using phonon/gstreamer have choppy playback since the release of this package. This is pulled in via ogg-support if I remember correctly. I couldn't find a bug tracker for this package and it might be good to have here anyway.
To get phonon working again
and maybeCode:apt-get remove gstreamer0.10-av
Code:apt-get install gstreamer0.10-vorbis # and maybe more

gstreamer0.10-av_0.5-2 resolves the problem. One should be able to safely upgrade ogg-support.
) sounds get truncated (eg cow) and others do not play (dog). Avoiding pulling in gstreamer0.10-av is the only way to solve this at present.
