I'm working on a new version and I'll try fix those map making and tile downloading features to that. I'm also adding Finnish language support (and also rewriting those English error messages) and logging system so error tracing should be easier in that new version.

Minulla on käytössä Mapsin windows versio 3.6.4, joka toimii hyvin. Latasin nyt version 4.0.0 ja samalla sivulla olevat ini filet. Ne eivät toimineet, koska käyttivät OSM karttoja, jotka eivät näköjään enää toimi. Korvasin .ini filet version 3.6.4 vastaavilla - nyt kartat latautuvat, mutta zoomauksessa on jotain mätää. Kun painaa plussaa(+) 1-n kertaa kuva kyllä zoomautuu ja kartat latautuvat,mutta kartat eivät päivity näyttöön. Pitää painaa (-) jolloin edellisen tason kartat tulevat näkyviin tarkkana.

Samanlaisia ongelmia on kuin Tarmollakin. Latasin Mapsin Windows v4.0.0 ohjelman, mutta en saa sitä toimimaan alkuunkaan netin ohjeilla. Olen kyllä käyttänyt Mapsin Windows v2.9.9 ohjelmaa, joka toimikin mukavasti.
Voisiko joku tietävämpi laittaa tälle foorumille valmiit toimivat ”map_settings.ini” ja ”wms_settings.ini” -tiedostomallit, joita voisi sitten tarvittaessa vaikka laajentaa.
Haluaisin käyttää maanmittaushallituksen karttoja Windows läppärissä ja bluetooth GPS vastaanotinta, jota toimintoa ei käsittääkseni versiossa v2.9.9 ollutkaan.

While I have no ill will against my Finnish neighbors (well, no more than what is customary ), it certainly would help if the users on this English-speaking forum could stick to English. Seems half the replies in this thread are in Finnish, and regrettably I can't speak it, so I have to run it through Google Translate if I'm to make any sense of it.

I've just installed this, (the newest N900 version, downloaded from the Mediafire link) so I'm not that familiar with it as of yet. I have read through the parts of the thread I can understand, but I've not determined if I'm able to use Mapsi to open saved tracks. There's no GPX support according to an earlier post, but what about KML or similar? As long as there is support for one format I can usually convert what I have.

Also, is there a rundown of Swedish WMS server providers somewhere? What should I put in the ini-file to use for instance Swedish Eniro or hitta.se satellite maps?

Last but not least, what if I have my own geo-referenced jpeg map images on a local path that I want to use as a layer? Can I call those up too from the ini-file somehow, in a similar fashion?

I just tested my win 4.0.0 and it works correctly. I'm not sure which ini files I'm using but maybe these works.

Ja sama suomeksi: saako N9:iin mapsin toimimaan siten että merikartat toimivat?

v4.2.0 for N9/N950 is available here.

Info for existing users
Server settings file's name changed from wms_settings.ini to server_settings.ini, so if you want to use your old settings file rename it to server_settings.ini.

Näiden lisäksi pitää sitten vielä olla "basemap" eli taustakartta, joka käyttää samaa koordinaatistoa (eli jolla on sama epsg-koodi). Uusimmassa versiossa (v4.2.0) on vakiona käytössä Maanmittauslaitoksen WMTS-palvelimen kartat, joten esim. niistä voi käyttää FI-Taustakarttaa taustakarttana (muissa ei ole tarpeeksi tarkkoja mittakaavoja).

^ Thanks for good instructions. I made the changes to "server_settings.ini" and "map_settings.ini". Got the "FI-Taustakartta" working as a basemap but there aren't any depth markings, beacons/sea marks (merimerkit) on the map. The fairways (väylät) are visible.

Could the problem be in MLL site?
