links....

1: RTCOMM

2: FreeCall

Follow the first link and install RTCOMM,

Follow the second link and create an account at FreeCalls.
(To make an account at freecalls, it requires that you Download their client.
which I doubt don't have any spyware.
But considering it is required for you to make an account, download it.
create you account, and run spy program and delete whatever **** was found on your computer. If need be, uninstall the freecalls program from your PC, you only need it to create the account.

After your create your account with freecalls. Follow the first link and setup the freecalls account on the N800.
considering Gizmo supports SIP, 770 users can try to setup the freecalls account via Gizmo, and free calls might be possible also.

SIP port : 5060
Registrar : sip.voiparound.com
Proxy server : sip.voiparound.com
Outbound proxy server : leave empty
Account name : your FreeCall username
Password : your FreeCall password
Display name/number : your FreeCall username or voipnumber
Stunserver (option) : stun.voiparound.com

If you did everything correctly....you should be able to dial any # and make talk unlimited smack.

International someone else do the research on that.

the number shows up private.

FreeDigits.com

provide you with a working phone number...outgoing and incoming calls free.
Not a bad deal.....

best part is you don't have to download anything from freedigits.

=====================

XTEN CONFIGURATION SETTINGS:

Enabled: Yes

Display Name: *Enter Your Name*

Username: *FreeDigits Phone Number* (without 1 ex: 5637733700)

Authorization User: *FreeDigits Phone Number* (without 1 ex: 5637733700)

Password: *password*

Domain/Realm: freedigits.net

SIP Proxy: proxy.freedigits.net

Out Bound Proxy: outbound.freedigits.net

Use outbound Proxy: Default

Send Internal IP: Always

Register: Always

===============================

Follow the same rules from above....instead of freecalls, use freedigits info....
and you are all set....

Guess the N800 is a IT/phone...as of today.

OK, I must be missing something here.

I have an N800. Signed up for FreeDigits, installed RTComm, all seemed OK.

I tried to follow your setup instructions, but some of the fields I'm seeing in the SIP account setup don't match with the fields you have listed.

I'm looking at this setup: http://rtcomm.garage.maemo.org/#use_sip

Is that what you're talking about or is it something else that I'm missing or needs to be installed?

Sorry to burst your bubble but the information stated before is not accurate. Freedigits only give you
15 FREE MINUTES to call for opening the account

After that they will start you charging, you do get the free US number though.

I have come across adding up 2 SIP providers, one for incoming calls and the other one for outgoing calls And I do get FREE CALLS.

According to the website they will only give me 300 minutes per 7 weeks, unless I buy more credit...but it's still to see since i am not using their software to make the calls...and I believe thats how they measure your minutes by their software checking on it.

Anyways, I'll be back with the configuration as well as the details or the 2 sip provider....ALL FREE OF COST
