I have been unable to install any apps from the store...I keep getting "Service currently unavailable"..........Twitter also won't install. Anyone else having similar problems? The phone is from New Zealand from a Vodafone store.....help would be appreciated. Thanks.

are your connections working correctly? check that first. if you are having issues still do a restore.

Hmm, not sovlved for me. I did a hard reset - (as hard as it gets via phone menu) - and despite wiping most of my stuff (including the backups, which took me by surprise and did not amuse me) - i get no installation done via ovistore anymore. Basically, the hard reset was the cause of it - not the cure .. indirectly perhaps, but nontheless. before i did it, i could install.

I get , no matter what i try to download always the same message:

"dependency notice"
to complete installation of <whatever>, a conflicting application needs to be uninstalled.

accept / cancel

if i press accept, it proceeds until ovi shows me "unable to complete installation. Download file again.

....my mental health has suffered hard by this as you can imagine.

rinse/repeat/loop

Knowing the local nokia-care contractor here (scf-huolto) means knowing i am lost and alone with this problem. They would just hardreset it again, and put it into my hands w/o testing whether it has actually helped what they did.

This may be the fix:

try this:

open terminal

devel-su
rootme
apt-get update
apt-get -f install
apt-get autoremove
apt-get clean
apt-get autoclean

just to make sure all the necessary pkgs are installed and correct and any that have been made obsolete, that may be causing the issue are removed.
