Hi guys. A friend's N900 stopped charging (probably because the usb port is busted). He wants to know how to recover his data, but I honestly don't know what to tell him. What are his options here?

ubuntu= nothing
n900= http://maemo.org/packages/view/openssh/

simply tell em to get an external battery charger & MicroSd Adapter....
switch on the phone now either transfer files via BT(Nokia suit).. or transfer his data to microSd & then to other phone or Pc(via adapter)

He could also borrow another nokia phone that uses a similar battery and charge his with that. After that install openssh, set the password and use winscp or ssh on a linux box.
