I had this from the start, and after updating to PR1.1 it's unfortunately still there.
The problem pops up now and then, and a reboot solves it. Until the next time, that is.
Symptoms:
- device can't find any networks when clicking 'connect', it just shows the gsm provider and the choice to connect to networks with hidden ssid
- it will also not connect when triggered by an app (as it does when starting the browser)
- it will also not connect by itself when allowing background connections
- it will connect when going to 'manage network connections', selecting the proper wifi network, then going to 'advanced' and then to 'connect to this network'.
(same if I use a dbus command to connect to my home network, it will connect in that case)
- - but after that, strangely, it will not be able to go on the web... I will be able to ssh/sftp into it...!!?!
and now for the really funky part:
when ssh-ing into the device, route shows the proper IP address as gw / gateway, and I can do
ping www.google.ch
without issue! It shows ping times, the proper IP address it's pinging to, etc.
So, the device is connected, the wifi link works, DNS works, I think I tried wget and it also works, just the GUI stuff won't connect - grob (browser), youtube, etc...
I am baffled at this. Any hints?
