Hello community, I have a problem with the system on my n900, started some time ago, when I'm surfing the internet with Microb, I could not download file in the partition of 32gb, but if the microsd, whereas in Opera could download without any problem in any location. My problem apparently arose by downloading a file, not download right and with wrong and went to install Fennec.

Now I've other problem that when I install components, not working, I install tor and does not work and so other components.

Also when I open Freeoffice, closes, but when I go into x-terminal and release the application as root, the application is opened without problem, so did fennec, only working release the application as root.
Someone can help me to fix these problems.
Is possible to make a flashing system without losing the stored data, or applications? I just want things back to normal.

I have installed maemo 21.2011.38-1 CSSU Testing Flavor 1.2, kp-49.

I could not download files on the 32gb partition Microb, I can only download to removable memory, but only with Opera I can download directly, this problem occurs for a file download via microb.

Before I could download to the removable memory, now I cannot, but only with Microb, Opera works fine.
Now since then I have seen errors in other applications, eg in Freeoffice I can not open the application. Only be opened from x-terminal accessing as root.
Please could help me.

Sounds like some disk errors, you might want to FSCK your MyDocs and Removable memory. Just connect in mass storage and check with desktop

It also may be permission problem after you used sudo to run something. I think it would be easier if you ask on IRC since it needs realtime conversation. Maemo channels are #maemo and #maemo-ssu on freenode. If you don't have IRC client, you can you web-based:

Online users there are different from time to time so if you don't succeed at first, try again in 4-8 hours.

I was thinking in the same "permission" direction.

When you say you can start, for example, Freeoffice as root from xterm, it could be interesting to do the same startup as regular user and share your potential error message with us you encounter in the xterminal.

This I get when I open the application normally FreOffice (segment fault), and when I open it as root.

Now try reinstalling the application but I still have the same problem.

This problem started with microb, freoffice now affected, as happened when installing Fennec.

Some solution. It may make a (Flashing only the kernel from a FIASCO image), but But I do not want lose applications or data.

Try if this changing the permissions does anything useful.
Try to unmount the MyDocs partition or just simply ignore the errors.
This is for the common setup, where MyDocs is on the first partition and a FAT32 file system.
