Did anyone else read about this?

Nokia N800 gets WiMAX -- Gears up for big Sprint

Nokia's N800 tablet is to get Mobile WiMAX connectivity in order to be used on Sprint's US WiMAX network next year, though it's probably keeping Wi-Fi and Bluetooth just in case. ...

This info has been posted on several sites (some stating it a rumor and other claiming its fact) Here are some links to the article.

http://www.theregister.com/2007/08/10/nokia_goes_wimax/
http://www.engadget.com/2007/08/09/s...-n800-in-2008/
http://www.electronista.com/articles...0.wimax.rumor/

There are also many many others, which you can easily find by simply searching Google with keywords "N800, WiMax, Sprint".

Any inside info from those within the forum on weather this is fact or fiction? And is this a good thing or bad thing for the future of the N800?

Your input is welcome & appreciated...

Starting a new thread without searching first should result in a temporary banning.

No but new duplicate threads bump current discussion threads off the main page making it a PITA to continue a discussion.

You then have to do what the offender should have done in the first place and search for a thread that was just up.... and then that's where all the fun starts.

If there are duplicate subject threads you then have to sift through them all to find the post you wanted to comment on. By that time you find it you may forget what your own dang point was and end up not posting. Reduced posts = a less valuable forum. Many duplicate threads = a PITA to use.

...end of rant.
