Hi guys,I just bought this n900 and I have been trying to update to CSSU,I have installed it but there is no change on the phone: the camera is still the same etc.
I'm kinda new....thanks in advance for any answers.

PS.Extra info. The n900 has been updated with the nokia suite beforehand and then the CSSU(if that helps)

Welcome to Stable branch expect your phone to act like PR1.3
Also camera-ui2 is still in Testing.

You are talking with the right man when it comes to helping others to understand few things about Maemo5, so there is no need to be sorry - there is few on TMO who are to professional to answer that kind of questions.

My advice to You is to think about Testing flavor, so You can realy feel the diference betwen stock 1.3 and CSSU. I'm on the latest, and (as expected) it's nice and smooth. If You don't want to be first one to test new updates ( on Testing ) You can always hold back for few days before You update - but trust me You won't :-) The current CSSU Testing 7.2 is out for while now, and it's all right so You can go for it no problem. Read the CSSU Testing Thread, and if You will be ready for it, give it a shot.

The term "Portrait Mode" can mean multiple things in CSSU

Rotation in desktop is fully supported and information is here.

http://wiki.maemo.org/Community_SSU/FeaturesStable

However many use "Forcedrotation" this is a way of testing if apps are compatible with rotation. Not all application will work correctly if you force them to rotate. Some people use this as a way to rotate every application.

This is covered here.

http://wiki.maemo.org/Community_SSU/...hildon-desktop

Whitelist is the recommended way to use forcedrotation however the wiki still requires updating to cover whitelist.
