Seems like the only thing stopping iOS getting a huge market share are...profits.
Apple doesn't want to make a 2-phone approach, which I think is a stupid decision.
They should do it:
iPhone mini VS iPhone
3.5inch - 4.5inch
Plastic - Glass/Aluminium
Basic iOS - iOS with Siri and etc etc
SoC details not provided - Latest SoC competitive to flagship
8GB NAND - 64GB NAND
1,300mAh - 2,000mAh
No GPS, NFC, Barometre, Thermometer, Magnetometer - All of the radio luxuries
Triband GSM or CDMA - Pentaband GSM with CDMA (global phone)
854 x 480 - 1280 x 720
267ppi - 325ppi
$200 retail price - $700 retail price
Select markets (Africa, India, China etc) - All markets
New model whenever, not really superior - New model each year, always superior to last year's
